Overview

UAScribe is designed to help users document UAV flights, manage user-created personnel and aircraft lists, retrieve aviation and weather information, and generate PDF flight reports.

UAScribe does not require an online account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.

Information Stored on Your Device

UAScribe may store the following information locally on your device when you choose to enter or create it:

• Your name and ID or operator number.
• An optional organization name.
• An optional organization logo.
• User-created crew or personnel lists.
• User-created aircraft lists, aircraft identification, and maintenance records.
• A default communication plan.
• Personal RPIC and Visual Observer flight-history totals.
• Customer, quote, service, and pricing information you enter.
• Information entered while preparing a flight report, including preflight checklist selections.

UAScribe does not operate a cloud database that receives or stores these locally saved profile and flight-history records.

Location Information

When you request location-based information, UAScribe may use precise latitude and longitude from your device or from an address you enter.

Location information is used to provide features such as:

• Address and coordinate information.
• Nearest FAA public-use airport and distance.
• FAA surface-airspace information.
• Current weather, wind, gust, and visibility observations.

External Services

To provide requested aviation and weather information, UAScribe may transmit a flight location or coordinates over HTTPS to third-party services, including:

• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) data services for airport, Class Airspace, and UAS Facility Map information.
• National Weather Service (NWS) services for current weather observations, including wind, gusts, and visibility.
• Apple geocoding services to convert an address to coordinates or coordinates to a formatted address.

These requests are made to provide the feature you requested. UAScribe does not operate these third-party services and does not control their independent logging, security, or retention practices. Use of those services may be subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

Organization Logos

If you choose an organization logo from your Photos library, UAScribe resizes and stores the selected image locally on your device. The logo is used only to display your organization branding within UAScribe and on PDF flight reports that you choose to create.

Choosing a logo does not upload that image to a UAScribe server.

PDF Reports and Sharing

UAScribe creates PDF flight reports on your device. A PDF is shared only when you choose a destination using the standard iOS share interface.

Once you share a PDF with another app, service, email provider, cloud-storage provider, or recipient, that destination's privacy practices apply to the copy you shared.

Trial Status and In-App Purchases

UAScribe may store trial usage and purchase-entitlement status on your device, including in the iOS Keychain, so the app can determine whether report exports remain available or UAScribe Pro has been unlocked.

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. UAScribe does not receive or store your payment-card information. Apple may provide the app with transaction and entitlement information needed to complete or restore a purchase, subject to Apple’s privacy practices.

Website

The UAScribe website does not currently use advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking scripts. Standard hosting infrastructure may process technical request data, such as an IP address, browser type, and requested page, to deliver and secure the website.

Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

UAScribe does not include advertising SDKs, behavioral analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking features. UAScribe does not sell personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

Information saved by UAScribe is primarily stored locally on your device. You can remove user-created personnel, aircraft, organization branding, and other editable information from within the app where those controls are provided.

Removing the app from your device generally removes data stored within the app's local storage, subject to normal iOS backup and restore behavior.

Children's Privacy

UAScribe is a professional flight-documentation utility and is not directed specifically to children. The app does not knowingly operate a service designed to collect personal information from children.

Security

UAScribe uses standard iOS storage and HTTPS network connections for supported external lookups. No method of electronic storage or network transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as UAScribe changes. When material changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated.
